About the Opportunity
A growing infrastructure services organization is seeking a Contracts Manager to support the review, negotiation, administration, and execution of commercial agreements across a diverse portfolio of construction and engineering projects. This individual will work closely with legal, risk, operations, business development, and project leadership teams to help manage contractual obligations and mitigate commercial risk throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, negotiate, and administer a variety of commercial agreements, including prime contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, vendor agreements, NDAs, equipment rental agreements, joint venture arrangements, and other project-related documents.
- Partner with project, operations, and business development teams to support pursuits, bids, and contract negotiations.
- Analyze contractual terms and identify potential legal, commercial, and operational risks, providing recommendations to mitigate exposure.
- Serve as a resource for project teams regarding contract interpretation, compliance requirements, and risk-related matters.
- Support negotiations with customers, contractors, vendors, and strategic partners to achieve commercially favorable outcomes.
- Contribute to bid reviews, contract markups, clarifications, and related procurement documentation.
- Support internal risk management initiatives and related claims administration activities when needed.
- Participate in cross-functional reviews involving legal, finance, operations, and executive leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of contract management, procurement, commercial administration, or related experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure, industrial, or professional services environments.
- Strong understanding of subcontracting practices and contract risk allocation, including areas such as indemnification, insurance, limitation of liability, warranties, payment provisions, schedule-related exposure, and dispute avoidance.
- Ability to assess risk and communicate recommendations clearly to both legal and non-legal stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting large-scale construction, infrastructure, utilities, engineering, or industrial projects.
- Familiarity with insurance compliance, contract execution, and commercial risk management.
- Experience working within a multi-project, geographically dispersed organization.
- Exposure to public-sector, utility, or design-build contracting environments is a plus.
