Consumer Financial Services Litigation Associate (3+ Years Experience)
Locations: Richmond, VA * Orange County, CA * Los Angeles, CA
Salary Range: $260,000 - $310,000 (commensurate with experience)
A nationally recognized Consumer Financial Services team is seeking an experienced Litigation Associate with 3+ years of practice to join a leading client team focused on Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) matters and other consumer statutory claims filed across the country.
About the Role
The successful candidate will support a high‑volume, diverse portfolio of consumer litigation matters, including:
- Federal and state court cases across nearly all 50 states
- Small‑claims trials
- Full arbitration proceedings
Applicants with credit reporting litigation experience and strong familiarity with federal court practice are strongly preferred.
What You'll Do
- Independently manage cases and deadlines
- Participate in both remote and in‑person court and arbitration appearances
- Communicate directly with clients and collaborate closely with a nationally ranked team
- Navigate a broad spectrum of consumer‑finance issues, including privacy laws, background screening, fair housing, debt collection, credit repair, auto finance, mortgage servicing, online lending, and payment processing
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of litigation experience (consumer litigation preferred)
- Active membership in the state bar where you reside
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A collaborative mindset and ability to take ownership of matters
