Our client is a well‑established law firm seeking an experienced Real Estate / Joint Venture attorney to support a growing transactional practice. This role focuses on leading sophisticated real estate joint venture and investment transactions and working closely with corporate, tax, and finance colleagues. The firm is open to the right candidate sitting remote and is prioritizing attorneys who want a long‑term, integrated role with meaningful deal responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support real estate joint venture and investment transactions, including structuring, drafting, and negotiating operating agreements, contribution agreements, development agreements, and related transaction documents
- Advise clients on the corporate and transactional aspects of real estate investments and joint ventures
- Manage deals from initial structuring through closing, including issue‑spotting, execution, and client communication
- Collaborate with tax, finance, and real estate attorneys to ensure coordinated and efficient deal execution
- Support adjacent transactional work as needed, including fund formation, minority investments, REITs, and other real estate‑driven corporate transactions
Qualifications
- 3+ years of transactional experience with meaningful exposure to real estate joint ventures or complex real estate‑related corporate transactions
- Experience may be gained in a real estate, corporate, or fund formation practice
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to manage transactions with increasing autonomy
- Experience with investment funds, REITs, venture capital, or minority investment structures is a plus but not required
- Open to senior associate or counsel‑level candidates
