International Trade Compliance Director
Join a global technology and manufacturing organization as a senior trade compliance leader responsible for overseeing import and export compliance across multiple business units. This highly visible role will partner with senior leadership to develop compliance strategy, manage trade compliance teams, and ensure adherence to U.S. and international trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and strengthen import/export compliance programs across a diverse business portfolio
- Manage and develop trade compliance professionals
- Advise business leaders on trade compliance risks and regulatory requirements
- Interface with government agencies regarding export and import compliance matters
- Conduct compliance assessments, audits, and corrective action initiatives
- Support investigations, disclosures, and regulatory inquiries
- Partner on M&A due diligence and integration activities
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization of trade compliance processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; international trade, business, law, or related field preferred
- 10+ years of experience in trade compliance
- Strong knowledge of ITAR, EAR, Customs, and other global trade regulations
- Experience managing teams and supporting complex, multinational operations
- Familiarity with international export control and customs regimes
- Customs broker license and/or security clearance eligibility are a plus
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- U.S. Person status required
