The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-generational estate planning, trust administration, and estate settlement, with a focus on serving high-net-worth families and business owner clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive estate planning services to high-net-worth families and business owner clients, ensuring the preservation and transfer of wealth across generations.
- Administer trusts and estates, including the preparation and filing of necessary legal documents, and managing the distribution of assets.
- Offer expert advice on complex estate and tax planning issues, including the development of strategies to minimize estate taxes and maximize asset protection.
- Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to develop and implement integrated wealth management plans.
- Represent clients in probate and trust administration matters, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and the efficient resolution of any disputes.
- Conduct client meetings to review and update estate plans, addressing changes in client circumstances, laws, and regulations.
- Stay current with changes in estate planning laws and regulations, ensuring that clients receive the most up-to-date and effective advice.
- Provide education and guidance to clients on estate planning options, helping them make informed decisions about their financial futures.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- LLM in taxation preferred
- Admission to the bar in any state
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in trust and estate law, with a focus on multi-generational estate planning, trust administration, and estate settlement.
- Proven track record of working with high-net-worth clients and business owners.
- In-depth knowledge of estate, gift, and income tax laws as they relate to estate planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative and effective estate planning solutions.
