Chief Legal Officer - Industrial Markets Private Investment Firm

Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to the deal team, providing legal expertise and guidance throughout the investment process, including due diligence, negotiation, and documentation.
- Serve as a commercial counsel to our portfolio companies operating in the industrial markets, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Oversee legal aspects of funding opportunities, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with investment opportunities and portfolio company operations.
- Develop and implement legal strategies that align with the firm's business objectives and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD): Must hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a commercial counsel in any of the industrial markets (energy, transportation, or related sectors).
- Strong understanding of relevant legal frameworks, regulations, and industry standards.
- Demonstrated experience in negotiating and structuring complex transactions within the industrial sectors.
- Ability to think strategically and align legal strategies with overall business objectives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
