A leading global bank is seeking a talented Legal Counsel to join their dynamic team in Taipei. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a crucial role in advising on complex financial transactions and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice on banking and finance matters, including secured and unsecured loans, equity investments, guarantees, and other risk-sharing products.
- Collaborate with project teams to assess the legal aspects of infrastructure and energy projects.
- Draft and negotiate project finance agreements, including loan documentation, security agreements, and intercreditor arrangements.
- Review and negotiate trade-related contracts, including supply agreements, distribution agreements, and shipping documents.
- Ensure compliance with environmental standards and other policy requirements.
- Assist with project monitoring and handle the legal aspects of investment operations.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of legal experience, specializing in banking and finance.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and industry practices.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a global team.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin.
