My client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Labor and Employment Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join their legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of labor laws, employment regulations, and compliance issues, and will be responsible for providing legal counsel to clients on various employment matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on a wide range of labor and employment issues, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour claims, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Represent clients in administrative hearings and litigation before federal and state courts and agencies.
- Draft and review employment contracts, policies, handbooks, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in labor and employment law.
- Collaborate with HR departments to develop and implement best practices for compliance and risk management.
- Provide training and guidance to clients on employment law issues and workplace policies.
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records of all legal proceedings and correspondence.
- Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions on behalf of clients.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in labor and employment law.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
- Strong understanding of labor laws, including FLSA, ADA, FMLA, Title VII, and state-specific regulations.
- Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Proven ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
- Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
