Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Legal Analyst to join our dynamic team in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience as a legal associate, with a strong background in contract review and analysis. Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Review and Analysis: Conduct thorough reviews of various legal documents including contracts, agreements, and licenses. Analyze terms, conditions, and legal implications to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential legal risks and liabilities associated with contractual agreements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop strategies for mitigating risks and protecting company interests.
- Legal Research: Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the engineering sector. Conduct legal research as needed to support decision-making and strategy development.
- Contract Negotiation Support: Provide support during contract negotiations by assisting in drafting contract language, preparing negotiation strategies, and advising on legal implications of proposed terms.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of contract reviews, negotiations, and legal correspondence. Prepare reports and summaries for management and stakeholders as required.
- Compliance Monitoring: Monitor ongoing compliance with contractual obligations and legal requirements. Work closely with internal teams to ensure adherence to agreed-upon terms and conditions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or related field. Juris Doctor (JD) preferred.
- 2+ years of experience as a legal associate, preferably with a focus on contract review and analysis.
- Strong understanding of contract law principles and legal terminology.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify legal risks and propose effective solutions.
