A growing and reputable Real Estate Company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Real Estate Counsel to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate law in-house or at a law firm. The Real Estate Counsel will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the asset management team, as well as managing legal risks associated with the company's real estate portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support to the asset management team.
- Draft and review legal documents, including leases, purchase agreements, and other real estate contracts.
- Manage legal risks associated with the company's real estate portfolio.
- Provide legal support for real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and financing.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage outside counsel and other legal service providers.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the state of Indiana.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing real estate law.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
