Associate General Counsel - Growing Global Asset Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel to join their legal team. As the Associate General Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing legal counsel to the firm's internal clients, with a focus on private credit and syndicated loan transactions. Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal counsel and guidance to internal clients on matters related to private credit and syndicated loan transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, agreements, and contracts associated with asset management transactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks in transactions.
- Stay informed on legal and regulatory developments impacting the asset management industry, particularly in the private credit and syndicated loan space.
- Advise on legal structures and strategies to optimize transactions while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures related to private credit and syndicated loan activities.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a reputable law school.
- Active member in good standing of the Bar.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably at a major U.S. law firm or an established buyside firm.
- Strong background in private credit and syndicated loan transactions.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strategic legal advice and effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proven track record of handling complex legal matters in the asset management sector.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and globally diverse environment.
