Senior Paralegal
A mission-driven healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Paralegal to support its in-house legal team across a broad range of legal matters including contracts, transactions, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. This role involves significant document review and preparation, legal research, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of exercising independent judgment within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and review contracts and agreements under attorney supervision, including physician agreements, vendor contracts, and real estate documents.
- Coordinate and prepare due diligence materials for transactions.
- Conduct legal and regulatory research and summarize findings.
- Assist with closings for real estate and corporate ventures.
- Draft documentation for joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
- Maintain and update contract templates and legal documents.
- Prepare professional correspondence and emails with minimal editing required.
- Draft and revise organizational policies.
- Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives in legal operations, contract management, and policy development.
- Draft corporate resolutions, board materials, and revisions to governance documents.
- Respond to employment-related claims including EEOC charges.
- Maintain employment claims databases.
- Collaborate with contract administrators to ensure timely execution and proper documentation of contracts.
Qualifications
Education & Skills
- Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive problem-solving orientation.
- High attention to detail and follow-through.
- Discretion, sound judgment, and teamwork capabilities.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Experience managing a diverse caseload and supporting litigation phases.
- Familiarity with contract management systems, legal research tools, and data management platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and database tools.
Certifications
- Paralegal Certificate from an accredited program.
