Job Description Summary: Legal Operations & Transactions Coordinator
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and commercially minded Legal Operations & Transactions Coordinator to support the end-to-end delivery of our investment projects.
This role sits at the centre of the business, acting as the key point of coordination across multiple teams to ensure transactions progress efficiently from initial diligence through to execution. You will play a critical role in maintaining momentum on complex deals, aligning internal stakeholders, and ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Transaction Management
Support the delivery of transactions from initial due diligence through to final execution. This includes developing and maintaining detailed timelines, tracking key deliverables, and proactively managing dependencies across multiple workstreams. - Commercial & Legal Oversight
Review draft contracts and term sheets to ensure they align with agreed commercial terms. Identify any inconsistencies or potential risks and support the accuracy and completeness of final transaction documentation. - Cross-Functional Coordination
Act as the central point of contact across Legal, Tax, Finance, Investment/Analyst, and Technical teams. Ensure all stakeholders are aligned, informed, and equipped with the necessary documentation ahead of key decision points and approval deadlines. - Risk & Timeline Management
Anticipate and identify potential bottlenecks or delays in the transaction process, taking proactive steps to resolve issues and maintain deal momentum. Manage internal approval timelines to ensure stakeholders have sufficient time to conduct thorough and high-quality reviews. - Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency
Continuously assess existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency. Streamline documentation, communication, and handover processes to minimise friction and enhance overall execution quality.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5-7 years' experience in a legal operations, contract management, or transaction-focused role, ideally within a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Prior experience in mining, natural resources, or commodities is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong ability to interpret contracts and align commercial intent with transaction structure and execution.
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder processes, with the ability to balance competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Clear, confident communication style, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across different functions and levels of seniority.
- High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and organisational capability.
