The Opportunity
Join a high-performing litigation team handling sophisticated matters involving:
- Premises liability
- Personal injury and property damage claims
- Construction litigation (including NY Labor Law)
- General liability and insurance defense
You will play a key role in managing cases from inception through trial, while working alongside experienced litigators who value collaboration, mentorship, and professional growth.
What You'll Do
- Independently manage a diverse caseload across liability and insurance defense matters
- Handle all phases of litigation, from intake through trial
- Conduct and defend depositions, draft and argue motions, and appear regularly in court
- Prepare witnesses and develop compelling trial strategies
- Partner with colleagues and senior attorneys on case development and legal strategy
- Communicate directly with clients, providing strategic guidance and updates
- Deliver exceptional client service through proactive and thoughtful representation
What You Bring
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice in New York
- 8+ years of litigation experience, ideally in defense matters
- Strong background in construction litigation (NY Labor Law 200, 240, 241), premises liability, or general liability
- Proven courtroom experience, including depositions, hearings, and trials
- Ability to manage cases independently with confidence and precision
- Excellent analytical, writing, and advocacy skills
- A strategic mindset and a commitment to achieving strong outcomes
