Senior Employment Counsel - Global Technology Leader

A global, technology company is seeking a senior employment attorney to support its U.S. operations. Sitting within a collaborative legal team, this individual will act as the primary legal partner to human resources and key business stakeholders, advising on a wide range of workforce-related matters. The organization operates at significant scale across international markets, delivering enterprise software and data-driven solutions to a broad client base, and is known for its innovation and fast-paced, high-volume environment where legal plays a critical, business-facing role.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main legal advisor to HR on employment matters across the employee lifecycle
  • Counsel on compliance with federal and state employment laws and monitor evolving regulatory developments
  • Handle and advise on pre-litigation and litigation-related matters, including employee complaints, accommodations, wage and hour issues, and restrictive covenants
  • Assess legal risk and provide practical, business-oriented guidance to internal stakeholders
  • Draft and negotiate employment-related agreements, policies, and internal documentation
  • Manage and coordinate with outside counsel as needed

Requirements

  • 6+ years of employment law experience, in-house or at a law firm
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws with experience across both advisory and disputes
  • Ability to manage a high-volume, varied workload independently
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate legal concepts for non-legal audiences
  • Collaborative and business-minded approach
  • J.D. and active bar membership required
