Senior Counsel - Rapidly Growing Investment Firm
Job Overview
We are partnered with a rapidly growing investment firm seeking a motivated and detail-oriented attorney to join its team and help support the underwriting and legal analysis of the firm's lending transactions. This role offers exposure to a dynamic intersection of finance and law, and would be a critical player of a value-oriented, collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate lending opportunities to clients by assessing the value and risk of underlying portfolios.
Perform comprehensive due diligence on borrowers.
Collaborate in structuring and negotiating loan terms with prospective borrowers.
Provide support to the Legal Team in the preparation and review of loan agreements and related documentation.
Contribute to the development of financial models, strategic presentations, and investment memoranda alongside Legal and cross-functional teams.
Assist with a variety of firm-wide initiatives, including building internal tools and templates, producing marketing and press materials, supporting recruiting efforts, and improving internal workflows.
Qualifications:
- JD from a nationally recognized law school and will have demonstrated exceptional academic credentials.
- A successful candidate will be an attorney in good standing with the relevant state bar authorit(ies) in the jurisdiction(s) where he/she practices.
- If admitted to practice outside of the state of Florida, the successful candidate must be eligible for admission to Florida as a Certified In-House Counsel.
- A successful candidate will have approximately 4-6 years of experience as a litigator/trial practitioner with at least some experience in personal injury litigations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as uncompromising attention to detail, is required.
