About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support real estate and loan‑related transactions, including reviewing documentation, coordinating closings, and resolving post‑closing issues.
- Advise internal teams on legal, regulatory, and operational considerations related to distressed assets, loan workouts, and portfolio management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, internal policies, and industry standards across all asset and servicing activities.
- Support capital markets and financing activities by providing legal analysis, transaction support, and asset‑related reporting.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar license.
- Strong working knowledge of real estate transactions, loan workouts, and distressed asset resolution.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks relevant to mortgage lending and servicing.
- Experience across default servicing functions
