REMOTE LABOR AND EMPLOYMENT COUNSEL
We are seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Attorney to join a national employment law team in a full‑time, fully remote capacity. This position is ideal for attorneys with management‑side experience who want to work on a broad range of labor and employment matters while enjoying reduced billable expectations and long‑term work‑life balance-without sacrificing sophisticated, meaningful legal work.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a wide range of labor and employment litigation and counseling matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, leave issues, and employment‑related disputes.
- Defend employers in administrative proceedings, arbitrations, and litigation at the federal and state levels.
- Draft high‑quality legal pleadings, motions, position statements, and other written advocacy.
- Manage all phases of cases, including early case assessment, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and settlement strategy.
- Advise clients on employment law compliance, risk mitigation, and best practices.
- Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties regarding case strategy and status.
- Independently manage a caseload while collaborating with a national team in a structured, remote environment.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active license and in good standing in the attorney's state of residence.
- Minimum of 6 years of labor and employment experience, including management‑side representation.
- Experience with employment litigation, administrative proceedings, and employment counseling.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining high‑quality work product.
