Real Estate Associate
A reputable client with a strong reputation in real estate, corporate, and transactional law is looking to bring on a Real Estate Attorney to the team. Their real estate practice is known for handling complex transactions, development projects, and high-value deals across a variety of sectors.
This group is seeking a mid-level Real Estate Associate with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases, loan documents, and development agreements.
- Conduct and manage due diligence, including title and survey review, zoning analysis, and environmental assessments.
- Advise clients on real estate matters related to corporate transactions, joint ventures, and land use.
- Coordinate with title companies, surveyors, lenders, and other third parties.
- Support senior attorneys and partners on complex real estate transactions and development projects.
- Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in Ohio.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate law at a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Strong knowledge of commercial real estate transactions and related legal issues.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with real estate finance, including lender-side and borrower-side representation.
- Familiarity with land use, zoning, and development incentives.
- Exposure to multi-jurisdictional transactions.
