This is a unique opportunity to become the first legal hire at a business solving complex, real-world challenges for major enterprise customers, while partnering directly with executive leadership and helping shape the legal function from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead negotiation of sophisticated commercial agreements, including MSAs, SaaS agreements, DPAs, security/privacy addenda, and customer-facing contracts with enterprise organizations.
- Build scalable legal processes, contract templates, playbooks, and workflows to support continued growth.
- Advise leadership on a broad range of legal matters, including corporate governance, compliance, employment, vendor contracts, and operational risk.
- Manage outside counsel and provide practical, business-oriented guidance across regulatory, privacy, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- J.D. and active bar admission.
- 7+ years of legal experience, including a combination of law firm and in-house experience.
- Demonstrated success negotiating complex enterprise SaaS and technology agreements.
- Previous experience supporting a high-growth startup or emerging technology company.
- Working knowledge of privacy and security frameworks, including GDPR, CCPA, and SOC 2.
- Ability to operate independently as a legal generalist while balancing legal risk with commercial objectives.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, business-minded approach.

- Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or other cutting-edge technology products.
- Exposure to venture financings, corporate governance, and scaling legal operations.
- Familiarity with legal operations tools and contract lifecycle management processes.
