Legal Counsel, Transactional Advisory
- Working with internal deal team and internal legal team to advise the business in its M&A and strategic activities
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential acquisition targets
- Coordinate with appropriate stakeholders internally to ensure a smooth integration process following transactions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple, competing demands simultaneously
- Coordinate with outside counsel and other stakeholders internally as necessary to ensure robust diligence and integration process
- Assist legal team in managing outside counsel spend
- Advise on legal strategy
- Assist internal legal team with managing important strategic initiatives
- Driving continuous improvements, scalability and operational excellence in deal processes and execution
- Assisting members of the strategic transactions legal team on other high priority tasks and matters
Skills and Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited law school with exceptional academic credentials
- Admitted to the bar in at least one of the fifty states and eligible for admission to TX State Bar
- At least 3+ years of experience primarily in M&A transactions at a top law firm an/or in-house
- Organized and process oriented, with ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities
- Experience independently negotiating complex business transactions
- Capacity to actively solve complex legal and business problems
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills and experience
