Legal Compliance Manager

Position Overview
This role is responsible for supporting and executing the day-to-day operations of an organization's compliance function. Working closely with senior compliance leadership, the position helps ensure that business activities align with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, particularly in regulated industries. The role plays a key part in strengthening compliance frameworks, monitoring risk, and fostering a strong culture of ethics and accountability.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and ongoing management of compliance program components aligned with applicable regulatory guidance.
  • Draft, review, and update compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls across areas including healthcare compliance, anti-corruption, antitrust, and financial crime prevention.
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments, identify gaps or areas of exposure, and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
  • Develop, administer, and track compliance training initiatives focused on legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
  • Oversee transaction monitoring activities and manage third-party due diligence and ongoing monitoring processes.
  • Plan and execute periodic self-assessments and internal reviews related to anti-corruption and competition law requirements.
  • Promote compliance awareness through regular communication, education, and engagement with business teams.
  • Support internal investigations, compliance audits, and policy reviews in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance to business units on compliance obligations and emerging regulatory expectations.
  • Review and support transparency and reporting requirements, including grants, sponsorships, fair market value assessments, and interactions with government entities.
  • Partner with Legal, Finance, Human Resources, IT, and other internal teams to address compliance matters efficiently.
  • Prepare reports and summaries for management related to compliance incidents, investigations, and program initiatives.
  • Support pre-transaction due diligence activities for acquisitions or investments involving regulated businesses.
  • Assist with data privacy and confidentiality initiatives, including healthcare privacy requirements.
  • Perform additional compliance-related responsibilities as assigned.
