General Litigation Attorney

A respected national law firm is seeking a litigation attorney to join its expanding litigation practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of civil disputes while gaining meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and hands-on litigation experience.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can independently manage case assignments while working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm's platform.

Primary Responsibilities

• Handle litigation matters from initial filing through resolution.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and discovery responses.
• Conduct legal research and develop practical litigation strategies.
• Participate in fact investigations, witness preparation, and case analysis.
• Take and defend depositions and assist with expert discovery when appropriate.
• Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case developments and litigation strategy.
• Work closely with attorneys and support staff to ensure matters progress efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong analytical, legal writing, and research skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
• Must be located in a market where the firm maintains an office and be eligible to work from that location.
