General Litigation Attorney
A respected national law firm is seeking a litigation attorney to join its expanding litigation practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of civil disputes while gaining meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and hands-on litigation experience.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can independently manage case assignments while working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm's platform.
Primary Responsibilities
- Handle litigation matters from initial filing through resolution.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and discovery responses.
- Conduct legal research and develop practical litigation strategies.
- Participate in fact investigations, witness preparation, and case analysis.
- Take and defend depositions and assist with expert discovery when appropriate.
- Represent clients in court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case developments and litigation strategy.
- Work closely with attorneys and support staff to ensure matters progress efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active bar admission in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience.
- Strong analytical, legal writing, and research skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
- Must be located in a market where the firm maintains an office and be eligible to work from that location.
