General Litigation Associate
Our client, a national law firm, is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its growing practice. This opportunity is open to attorneys across multiple U.S. locations and offers a flexible work arrangement. The role is ideal for attorneys looking to work on a broad range of complex litigation matters while collaborating with a highly regarded team of legal professionals.
General Litigation Associate Responsibilities:
- Manage a litigation caseload through all phases of the litigation process, from case inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation-related documents
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
- Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, arbitrations, and court appearances
- Prepare witnesses, experts, and clients for litigation proceedings
- Negotiate settlements and assist in resolving disputes efficiently and effectively
- Communicate directly with clients regarding case developments, strategy, and risk assessment
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal professionals across practice groups and offices
General Litigation Associate Qualifications:
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 5+ years of litigation experience
- Experience handling matters through discovery, depositions, motion practice, and dispute resolution
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
- Experience with trucking and logistics, auto/transportation, and general libaility litigation is preferred
- Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills
- Trial experience is a plus but not required
