A highly respected UK law firm in London is seeking a skilled and motivated Finance Associate to join its Banking & Finance team. This role offers exposure to high-value transactions across both leveraged finance and real estate finance, working with a diverse client base including financial institutions, private equity sponsors, and real estate investors. About the Team:
The Leveraged and Real Estate Finance team are recognised for their market-leading expertise across the capital structure, advising on a wide range of complex financing products including LBOs, TLBs, high-yield bonds, unitranche, mezzanine, CMBS/RMBS, development finance, and fund financing. They work closely with financial institutions, private credit providers, private equity sponsors, and real estate investors, delivering innovative and efficient financing solutions across domestic and cross-border transactions. The team operates seamlessly across jurisdictions and are known for their pragmatic, responsive approach and strong relationships with key market participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advising lenders and borrowers on a wide range of leveraged finance matters, including acquisition finance and syndicated lending.
- Acting for banks, funds, and developers in real estate finance transactions, such as development finance, investment loans, and structured finance.
- Drafting and negotiating loan agreements, security packages, intercreditor arrangements, and related documentation.
- Supporting cross-border deals and collaborating with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions.
- Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development efforts.
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with 2+ PQE in finance law
- Strong experience in leveraged finance and/or real estate finance.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, with a commercial mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
