Employment Law Associate (3-6 Years) - Northern California (San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Sacramento)

A top‑tier law firm with a dynamic Employment practice is seeking a mid‑level Employment Associate (3-6 years) to join its Northern California team. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting‑edge employment litigation and counseling matters while taking on meaningful responsibility within a collaborative, high‑performing group.

The ideal candidate will have strong litigation fundamentals and experience handling both single‑plaintiff and class‑based employment matters, along with an interest in client counseling and strategic advisory work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a broad range of employment matters, including:
    • Single‑plaintiff litigation
    • Wage & hour class actions and PAGA claims
    • Systemic and complex employment disputes
  • Respond to administrative charges and represent clients in agency proceedings
  • Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and manage discovery
  • Provide employment counseling on workplace policies, compliance, and personnel issues
  • Work directly with clients and take increasing ownership of matters

Key Qualifications

  • J.D. from an ABA‑accredited law school with strong academic credentials
  • Active California State Bar membership
  • 3-6 years of employment litigation experience
  • Experience with class actions and PAGA strongly preferred
  • Strong writing, analytical, and client‑facing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and work independently

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: Approximately $260,000 to $390,000, depending on experience and alignment
  • Competitive bonus structure
