Salary: $260,000 - $310,000 (Dependent on experience and J.D. year)
Overview:
A client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Corporate Associate with substantial M&A experience to join a dynamic practice advising technology and life sciences companies at all stages of growth-from early-stage startups to global public corporations. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-value transactions and collaborate with leading innovators, investors, and market leaders in the tech and life sciences sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex transaction documents and agreements.
- Manage significant components of deal processes independently while working collaboratively within deal teams.
- Coordinate due diligence, closing processes, and post-closing integration.
- Provide guidance on corporate governance and related matters.
- Work closely with colleagues in tax, IP, employment, and regulatory practices to deliver comprehensive solutions.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of corporate law experience at a leading law firm, with a focus on M&A transactions.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding academic record from a reputable law school.
- Active Bar membership in the state of the office location (or eligibility to waive in promptly).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
- Experience with or interest in technology and life sciences companies is a plus.
