Corporate Counsel
A growing energy and infrastructure company is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its legal team. This is an opportunity to work closely with senior business leaders on complex commercial transactions, strategic projects, and high-impact legal matters across a dynamic and evolving business.
The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders while supporting the negotiation, execution, and management of a broad range of commercial agreements and business initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts and agreements.
- Advise business teams on legal risk, contract strategy, and regulatory considerations.
- Support financing, capital markets, and other strategic transaction activities.
- Partner with commercial, operations, finance, and executive leadership teams on project development and execution.
- Assist with dispute resolution and management of contractual obligations.
- Develop and maintain contract templates, policies, and legal processes.
- Provide practical, business-focused legal guidance across the organization.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 5+ years of relevant legal experience gained at a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
- Experience with commercial transactions, corporate matters, finance, project development, or energy-related work.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, business-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience
- Energy, infrastructure, power, commodities, project finance, midstream, LNG, or related industry experience.
- Experience supporting domestic and international transactions.
- Familiarity with large-scale project development and commercial contracting.
