Role Overview

This role sits at the intersection of legal, compliance, and business operations, serving as a key advisor on contract strategy and risk management. You'll partner closely with internal stakeholders to review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial and government agreements while ensuring alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements.

This position is both hands-on and strategic-supporting day-to-day contract execution while helping shape processes, mitigate risk, and drive continuous improvement across the function.

This position can be based in The Woodlands, TX, Montgomery, TX, Jurupa Valley, CA or Brazil, IN.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including customer and supplier contracts, NDAs, licensing, and consulting agreements
  • Serve as a trusted partner to the business by advising on contractual risk, obligations, and compliance requirements
  • Lead contract negotiations with customers, suppliers, and other external partners
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable laws/regulations, including government contracting requirements where relevant
  • Translate complex legal and commercial terms into clear, actionable guidance for business stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal legal teams and external counsel to resolve contract issues
  • Maintain contract tracking systems to ensure proper documentation, traceability, and audit readiness
  • Support and enhance contract management processes, driving efficiency and best practices
  • Deliver training and guidance to internal teams on key contract and compliance topics
  • Participate in risk reviews and contribute to broader compliance initiatives across the organization

Qualifications

  • ~5+ years of experience in contracts management, legal, or a related field
  • Strong background in contract negotiation, risk assessment, and compliance
  • Experience with government contracts and regulations (e.g., ITAR, EAR, OFAC) is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor's degree required; legal background or contract certifications (e.g., CCCM, CPCM, CFCM) are a plus
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
