A well-established national law firm is seeking a Construction/General Liability Associate Attorney to join its growing New York City, White Plains, or Long Island office. This opportunity offers exposure to a diverse litigation practice, including construction work, New York Labor Law matters, premises liability, transportation/trucking, casualty, and general liability defense.

This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to join a collaborative team with strong mentorship, hands-on litigation experience, and a clear path for long-term growth within a highly regarded litigation practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a caseload involving construction litigation, general liability, casualty, transportation, and insurance defense matters.
  • Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, court appearances, mediations, and trial preparation.
  • Work closely with partners and clients to develop case strategy and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and provide case updates and legal guidance.

Qualifications:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Active admission in New York.
  • 4+ years of litigation experience.
  • Experience handling insurance defense, construction litigation, premises liability, transportation, or general liability matters.
  • Familiarity with New York Labor Law §§ 200, 240, and 241 is highly preferred.
  • Deposition and court appearance experience required.
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage files while working collaboratively within a team environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary range: $160,000 - $190,000, depending on experience.
  • Hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
