A leading global law firm is seeking a Conflicts & Business Intake Compliance Counsel to join its Office of General Counsel.
In this role, you will advise attorneys and firm leadership on conflicts of interest, new business intake, engagement letters, risk management, and legal ethics matters. You'll play a key role in reviewing conflicts, supporting lateral attorney onboarding, ensuring compliance with firm policies, and helping develop risk management strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze conflicts reports for new clients, matters, and lateral hires
- Identify actual and potential conflicts of interest and coordinate their resolution
- Advise attorneys on engagement letters, conflicts waivers, and business intake requirements
- Assist with the development of firm policies, training programs, and best practices related to conflicts and professional responsibility
- Counsel attorneys and saff on conflicts, legal ethics and risk management matters
Qualifications:
- J.D. required
- Active bar membership in state of residence
- 4+ years of law firm, conflicts, legal ethics, or risk management experience
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
