Location: Houston Area, TX
Compensation: $77,000 - $82,500 Base Salary
Our client, a global energy company, is seeking a Compliance & Due Diligence Analyst to support its corporate compliance and ethics program. This role will focus heavily on third-party due diligence, risk assessments, compliance investigations, training initiatives, and compliance operations within an international business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct third-party and counterparty due diligence reviews and present findings and recommendations to compliance, legal, and business stakeholders.
- Evaluate vendors, suppliers, business partners, and counterparties for potential compliance, regulatory, sanctions, and reputational risks.
- Support ongoing monitoring of third parties, including review of supporting documentation, activity reports, and compliance-related records.
- Manage KYC documentation requests and screening processes.
- Assist with compliance investigations, interviews, fact gathering, and report preparation.
- Support enterprise risk assessments, including risk identification, remediation tracking, and follow-up activities.
- Assist with privacy-related compliance initiatives and policy implementation.
- Partner with Legal, Human Resources, Internal Audit, Supply Chain, and other business functions on compliance initiatives.
- Support compliance training and awareness programs.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and compliance-related data analytics efforts.
- Respond to day-to-day ethics and compliance inquiries from internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; JD, CCEP, or CCEP-I certification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in compliance, ethics, risk management, internal audit, SOX compliance, legal, consulting, or related functions.
- Hands-on experience conducting commercial third-party due diligence within a corporate, consulting, audit, legal, professional services, or industry setting.
- Experience reviewing vendors, suppliers, customers, distributors, contractors, joint venture partners, or other private-sector counterparties for compliance, integrity, and reputational risks.
- Strong preference for candidates with corporate due diligence experience rather than government, law enforcement, intelligence, public sector, or security-focused investigative backgrounds.
- Experience supporting compliance programs, risk assessments, internal controls, SOX initiatives, or broader corporate governance efforts.
- Exposure to anti-bribery and corruption, FCPA, sanctions, privacy, conflicts of interest, or related regulatory compliance areas is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing sensitive and confidential information.
- Highly preferred: Prior compliance, ethics, risk, audit, SOX, or internal controls experience within the energy, LNG, oil & gas, or broader industrial sector.
