Our client, a well-established New York-based title insurance firm, is seeking a meticulous and experienced Commercial Title Reader to join their team. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in real estate title analysis who thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed Property Title Reports outlining findings, exceptions, and insurance requirements for commercial transactions
Review abstracts, surveys, and legal documents to assess title insurability
Identify and analyze title defects, liens, and encumbrances
Verify legal descriptions, property boundaries, and ownership history
Plot and create new metes and bounds legal descriptions
Collaborate with title examiners, underwriters, and legal counsel to resolve complex title issues
Communicate effectively with underwriting teams and clients to ensure timely resolution of inquiries
Ideal Candidate Profile
Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents
Proficiency in title examination, legal descriptions, and survey/easement plotting
Experience preparing Zoning Exhibits is a plus
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
