The Role:
We're seeking a Commercial Counsel with strong experience in technology transactions to support our global contracting needs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about enabling business growth through smart legal solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including SaaS contracts, technology transfer agreements, licensing, reseller and partnership agreements.
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and mitigation strategies across commercial operations.
- Support the development and implementation of contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation guidelines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, finance, and compliance teams to ensure contracts align with business objectives.
- Assist with global expansion initiatives, including compliance with international contracting standards and regulations.
Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor (UK or equivalent) with 4+ years PQE, ideally gained in-house or at a top-tier law firm.
- Proven experience in SaaS, technology licensing, and commercial contracting.
- Strong understanding of IP, data protection, and software-related legal issues.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment while staying connected with global teams.
