Commercial Contracts Attorney - Alternative Asset Management
Our client, a leading global, alternative investment firm focusing in the private credit space is looking to bring on a Commercial Contracts Attorney to join its in-house legal team. The person in this role will be supporting the legal and compliance team across a variety of activities for the firm, primarily focusing on contract management and execution while also being responsible for taking ownership on entity management matters for the firm. The role will be based in their Greenwich, CT office and the ideal candidate will be able to be onsite 5 days of the week.
- Manage requests and execute the drafting, reviewing and negotiating of a variety of commercial contracts such as NDAs, Engagement Letters, Vendor contracts amongst others
- Partner closely with Investment Team on transaction closing and maintaining deal documents
- Work with wider legal team on filing and reporting obligations
- Assisting with corporate governance documents
- Assisting with entity management across multiple jurisdiction
- Assisting with AML/ KYC for new and existing entities, including structure chart creation and maintenance
- Ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor required
- 2+ YOE at a law firm, asset management company, hedge fund, private equity or similar
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
