About the Role
We are seeking a Junior Code of Ethics Specialist to join our growing remote team. This role focuses on the administration, monitoring, and enhancement of Code of Ethics programs across a portfolio of sophisticated private fund clients.
This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional with a private equity background who is looking to deepen their expertise in a consulting-driven environment with meaningful client exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and monitor Code of Ethics programs for private equity, hedge fund, and venture capital clients
- Review and track personal trading activity, pre‑clearance requests, and certifications
- Maintain employee compliance records, including gifts & entertainment, outside business activities, and certifications
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of compliance training related to Code of Ethics policies
- Support annual reviews and testing of Code of Ethics programs
- Identify potential violations or conflicts of interest and escalate appropriately
- Work directly with clients to ensure accurate and timely reporting and adherence to policies
- Collaborate with senior consultants on broader compliance projects as needed
Required Qualifications
- Private equity experience is required (in-house compliance or related role)
- 2-5+ years of relevant compliance experience
- Strong understanding of Code of Ethics requirements under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940
- Experience monitoring employee trading, certifications, or conflicts of interest programs
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience at a compliance consulting firm
- Exposure to hedge funds, venture capital, or broader private fund structures
- Familiarity with compliance systems (e.g., StarCompliance, MyComplianceOffice, etc.)
- Relevant certifications (or progress toward them) such as IACCP
