Corporate/M&A Attorney (Senior Associate, Counsel, or Partner)

A growing regional law firm is seeking a Corporate/M&A Attorney to join its expanding transactional practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney seeking sophisticated deal work, direct client contact, long-term career growth, and the opportunity to work closely with business owners, executives, and management teams on a wide range of strategic transactions.

The practice advises privately held businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, and institutional clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, financing transactions, commercial agreements, and other complex business matters. Attorneys are given meaningful responsibility, significant client exposure, and the opportunity to play an active role in the continued growth of the practice.

Corporate/M&A Attorney Responsibilities:

• Represent buyers, sellers, investors, and privately held businesses in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions
• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, commercial contracts, and related transaction documentation
• Manage key aspects of transactions from due diligence through closing
• Advise clients on corporate governance, business planning, and day-to-day business matters
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions
• Maintain direct interaction with clients, advisors, lenders, and opposing counsel throughout transactions

Corporate/M&A Attorney Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 6+ years of experience handling corporate, M&A, or business transactions matters within a law firm environment
• Strong drafting and negotiation experience involving transaction documents and commercial agreements
• Experience managing client relationships and serving as a trusted business advisor
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach with strong communication and project management skills
• Portable business is welcomed but not required
