About the Role
In this key leadership position, you will oversee a team of attorneys and legal professionals, delivering broad legal support across the full spectrum of our operations. You will work closely with senior leaders to shape and execute legal strategies that advance organizational goals..
Responsibilities
- Lead the organization's legal function, managing all legal matters and ensuring smooth, effective department operations.
- Serve as a strategic legal advisor to the President and Senior Leadership Team on topics such as corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, securities matters, intellectual property, commercial agreements, compliance, and risk mitigation.
- Guide, coach, and develop the in‑house legal team, cultivating a strong culture of legal excellence and continuous growth.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with outside counsel, utilizing their support where appropriate.
- Monitor legal trends and regulatory developments relevant to the energy and manufacturing sectors, advising the business on potential impacts and responses.
- Establish and maintain robust compliance programs to reduce legal risk and ensure the organization meets all applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar admission.
- 10+ years of legal practice, including experience in the energy industry.
- Professional proficiency in both Mandarin and English is required.
