Larson Maddox Celebrates European Expansion With Exclusive Event Discussing Practicing In The Age Of AI

Larson Maddox has officially launched in Europe. To mark the occasion, we brought together over 50 local legal firms and leaders for a morning of networking and learning in London, focused on AI’s increasingly disruptive impact on the legal sector, and how to safely navigate what comes next.

Held at the top of The Gherkin – one of London’s landmark skyscrapers with unrivalled 360-degree views – attendees had the opportunity to connect over breakfast before joining our panelists for an open, thought-provoking conversation on the implications of AI adoption across the legal sector.

Opening the conversation on AI in legal practice

The use of AI in the legal practice is raising urgent questions about risk, governance, and upskilling. Louise Shearing, Director and Head of UK Legal at Larson Maddox, hosted our panel to facilitate discussions on each of these critical topics, and was joined by four legal experts who sit at the intersection of law, leadership, and digital transformation. Each bought their unique perspectives and experiences to the conversation:

  • Tara Waters, digital transformation consultant and former Chief Digital Officer, shared her lessons from deploying legal AI tools across global firms.
  • Egbe Manton, founder of Inspire Law Global, spoke on AI adoption through the lens of social impact and legal learning.
  • Nigel Spencer, professor at Queen Mary University and expert in legal leadership, explored the change in skills required to lead in a tech-enabled environment.
  • Crowley Woodford, partner at Ashurst, provided insights into the implications of AI for employment law and regulatory risk.

Engaging in debates like these is just one of the ways we stay close to market priorities, client expectations, and the ambitions of regulatory & legal professionals.

Expanding legal talent solutions across London and Berlin

Navigating challenges around AI in legal, including how to find the right talent to develop and work alongside these platforms, is just one of the many reasons why firms come to Larson Maddox for their regulatory & legal hiring needs.

Our launch in Europe follows seven years of growth across the USA and APAC, where we’ve placed more than 1,500 professionals at legal firms and organizations in high-growth industries navigating complex and highly regulated environments.

As one of the six industry-specialist talent brands that make up the Phaidon International Group, with 14 established global offices, our expansion into these existing London and Berlin locations enables both clients and candidates full access to the group’s infrastructure and networks.
