Insurance Regulatory Counsel - Property & Casualty

Our client, a leading insurance company with a global presence is looking to bring on an Insurance Regulatory Counsel to join its in-house legal team. The person in this role will be focusing on regulatory matters that pertain to the Property & Casualty business supporting strategic transactions, examinations, inquires amongst other responsibilities. The role will be onsite 4 days a week and the company is open to multiple locations for this person to sit out of.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and reviewing regulatory filings related to any strategic transactions
  • Frequent communication and interaction with state regulators
  • Supporting issues relating to consumer complaints, financial and market conduct examinations, and information requests
  • Keeping up to date on changes to insurance laws and regulations and the impact on the business
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders across business units

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor and admittance to at least one state bar
  • 4+ years of Property & Casualty legal experience
  • Ability to problem solve and critically evaluate issues
  • Experience drafting and negotiating
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
