VP, Investment Product Counsel - Leading Fintech Investment Firm
A leading Fintech Investment Firm is seeking a Vice President, Investment Product Counsel to join their NYC-based legal team. This Vice President should have strong knowledge of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and the ability to advise across a range of regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support regulatory and compliance efforts, including 1934 Act filings and SEC/FINRA material reviews.
- Provide legal guidance on products and services, and coordinate with outside counsel on regulatory, corporate, and investment matters.
- Negotiate and draft legal documents including contracts, NDAs, and agreements with fund managers, service providers, and distributors.
Required Skills:
- JD degree and 5+ years of regulatory experience with the 1934 Act either at a law firm or in-house.
- Experience advising on registered and private investment products and preparation of corresponding filings.
- The ability to communicate complex topics to senior business and legal team members.
