Overview
- Seeking an experienced Transportation Litigation Attorney to support representation of a large, sophisticated logistics client
- Opportunity to handle complex litigation matters in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution under senior attorney guidance
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to transportation laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents
- Attend and participate in court hearings, depositions, and mediations
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies throughout the litigation process
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Collaborate with attorneys and cross-functional teams across multiple offices
Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Licensed to practice in Kentucky; additional licensure in Ohio and/or Indiana is a plus
- 5+ years of general litigation experience
- Experience in transportation, trucking, logistics, or related regulatory matters preferred
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities
- Deposition and law & motion experience preferred
- Solid technical proficiency with legal tools and systems
