Senior Legal Counsel - Commercial, Competition and Privacy
A leading international consumer technology business is seeking a commercially minded Senior Legal Counsel to support its operations across the Benelux region.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll provide strategic legal advice on a broad range of commercial, regulatory, competition, privacy, and governance matters while helping the business achieve its growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted legal partner to senior leadership across the Benelux business.
- Lead negotiations and provide advice on a wide range of commercial agreements, including technology, procurement, sales, and strategic partnership contracts.
- Advise on competition law, distribution models, commercial practices, and associated risk management.
- Support privacy and data protection matters, including GDPR compliance, cross-border data transfers, and regulatory enquiries.
- Drive legal compliance initiatives and contribute to the development of governance frameworks and business policies.
- Manage external counsel and support investigations, disputes, and regulatory engagements where required.
About You
- Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years' legal experience gained in-house and/or at a leading law firm.
- Strong background in commercial contracting, EU competition law, and data privacy.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multinational environment.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver practical, risk-based advice.
- Experience mentoring junior team members is advantageous.
- Fluent in both English and Dutch.
