My client is a leading and growing Leading Biotechnology Firm and we are recruiting for a Senior Counsel to be based in the Singapore office. You will be given the opportunity to support the global business on all legal related matters in the region, and we are looking for candidates who are looking to scale their career in a leading name in the industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel on corporate governance, M&A, contracts, employment, and dispute resolution.
- Oversee IP strategy, licensing, and protection of proprietary technologies.
- Draft and negotiate agreements including R&D collaborations, clinical trials, and vendor contracts.
- Identify and manage legal risks, ensuring compliance with biotech regulations and data privacy laws.
- Monitor global regulatory developments (FDA, PMDA, NMPA) and advise on compliance.
- Advise leadership on corporate governance and legal best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate legal considerations into business decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law or equivalent law qualification, Singapore or Common law bar-qualified
- 8-10 years of legal experience, including 5+ years in-house within biotech, pharma, or life sciences.
- Strong knowledge of biotech regulations, IP law, contract law, and international compliance.
- Experience in clinical trials, data privacy, and cross-border transactions.
