A leading global law firm is seeking a Senior Counsel with significant litigation experience to join its California Trial & Defense practice in Los Angeles, Irvine, or San Francisco. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated litigation matters involving general liability, product liability, premises liability, catastrophic injury, and aviation-related claims. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of complex litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
- Draft and respond to discovery requests and other substantive litigation filings.
- Attend hearings and argue motions in state and federal court.
- Prepare cases for mediation, trial, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
- Maintain direct communication with clients and provide strategic case updates.
Key Qualifications
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
- Admission to the California Bar.
- Extensive experience handling civil litigation matters.
- Experience taking and defending depositions and managing all phases of discovery.
- Strong motion practice, legal research, and legal writing skills.
- Excellent oral advocacy and courtroom experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a client-service mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and prioritize competing deadlines.
