Remote Senior Litigation Opportunity

California | Hybrid Schedule | Full-Time

A well-established California defense litigation practice is seeking an experienced attorney to join its growing team. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned litigator looking to take ownership of a sophisticated caseload while enjoying flexibility, strong support resources, and a clear path for long-term growth.

The firm represents businesses, insurers, and other institutional clients in a broad range of complex civil disputes. Attorneys in this role are given substantial autonomy, direct client contact, and meaningful opportunities to contribute to case strategy and business development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Handle a diversified litigation caseload from inception through resolution.
• Develop and execute case strategy in collaboration with clients and firm leadership.
• Draft and argue substantive motions, dispositive motions, and other court filings.
• Take and defend depositions, including expert and party witnesses.
• Attend court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
• Manage discovery, including written discovery, ESI issues, and motion practice.
• Provide clients with strategic guidance, budgets, and regular case assessments.
• Prepare matters for trial and participate in trial proceedings as needed.
• Mentor junior attorneys and support professional development within the litigation team.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California Bar.
• 10+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong background handling cases independently with minimal oversight.
• Proven deposition, motion practice, and courtroom experience.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple matters and maintain strong client relationships.
• Trial experience is valued but not required.
