Employment Litigation Special Counsel (Fully Remote)
A nationally recognized litigation team is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Special Counsel to handle a portfolio of Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) matters on a fully remote basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned employment attorney looking to work with sophisticated clients, strong internal support, and a collaborative national platform while maintaining flexibility.
Responsibilities:
- Defend employers in a broad range of EPLI matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, wage and hour, and leave-related claims.
- Manage cases from inception through resolution, including strategy development, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Handle administrative charges before the EEOC and state agencies.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, carriers, and key stakeholders regarding case strategy and developments.
- Provide practical risk management and employment law guidance to clients as needed.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of employment litigation experience.
- Strong background handling EPLI matters and defending employers in employment-related disputes.
- Excellent writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload in a remote environment.
- Active bar license in the state of residence and in good standing.
- Interest in utilizing emerging legal technologies and AI tools to enhance efficiency and client service.
