Regional EHS Leader - Remote with travel
A fast‑growing organization in the industrial services / food operations space is expanding its EHS team and hiring a Regional EHS Leader to support locations across the Northeast and Southeast regions.
This is a newly created, manager‑level role (no direct reports) focused on elevating safety culture, strengthening compliance, and partnering closely with operations, fleet, and field leadership. Ideal for someone who enjoys being hands‑on, traveling to sites, and influencing behavior change in dynamic, high‑growth environments.
What You'll Do:
- Lead & improve regional EHS programs and standards
- Conduct site audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks
- Guide incident investigations & corrective actions
- Deliver safety training and support onboarding
- Strengthen environmental & sustainability practices
- Drive engagement and proactive safety culture across field teams
What We're Looking For:
- At least 7+ years of EHS experience (must have)
- Multi‑site or regional scope (must have)
- Strong OSHA / EPA / DOT/FMCSA knowledge
- Experience supporting fleet/driver safety programs
- Excellent communication, coaching, and influence skills
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% - preferably located near an airport
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Engineering, or related field OR direct relevant experience (7+ years)
- Certifications such as CSP, CHMM, or CIH
- Experience in industries with fleet, driver safety, or DOT/FMCSA compliance
- Background supporting operations related to food logistics, distribution, or similar environments (helpful but not required)
