Public Finance Associate
My client is seeking a Mid-level Associate to join its Public Finance Practice Group.
This nationally recognized team advises clients on a wide range of tax-exempt and taxable financings across sectors including nonprofit, higher education, energy infrastructure, healthcare, and other industries. The group supports clients through all stages of financing and refinancing transactions, including reviewing credit support, tax, construction, and management agreements; drafting and negotiating financing and offering documents, certificates, and opinions; and analyzing complex federal tax issues.
With deep experience serving public and private clients in healthcare, energy, higher education, waste‑to‑energy, recycling, governmental, and industrial sectors, the team is known for its strength in handling sophisticated finance matters.
✅ Job Requirements
Ideal candidates will have:
- 2-4 years of experience in debt finance, public finance, or project finance at a top 100 law firm
- Experience with real estate, secured lending, and tax‑exempt finance transactions; experience representing lenders and underwriters is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with client, business, and legal teams
- Excellent academic credentials, strong writing ability, and polished oral communication skills
- DC Bar membership (required)
