Plaintiff L&E Law & Motion Attorney - CA

Award winning plaintiff side labor & employment practice seeking to expand their Law & Motion Attorney team. This role is ideal for a strong legal writer who enjoys crafting persuasive arguments, handling complex briefing, and working on impactful employment cases. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with the firm's most elite trial attorneys while taking ownership of sophisticated motion practice and appellate-level work.

This opening is hybrid flexible across their California offices including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego. Those interested are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on precedent-setting cases and significant plaintiff-side matters
  • Draft and argue substantive motions, including dispositive motions and complex pre-trial briefing
  • Prepare appellate briefs, writs, post-trial motions, and other high-level legal filings
  • Conduct advanced legal research and develop creative litigation strategies
  • Partner with trial attorneys to support employment litigation matters through all phases of litigation
  • Analyze evolving employment law developments and incorporate them into litigation strategy
  • Develop compelling written advocacy designed to maximize outcomes for employees

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership
  • 4+ years of strong legal research and writing experience
  • Employment law experience preferred
  • Exceptional writing, analytical, and issue-spotting skills
  • Ability to independently manage assignments and meet deadlines
  • Strategic thinker capable of developing persuasive and innovative legal arguments
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively alongside litigators and trial teams
